Overview
Locify is a personal location-saving app for iOS and iPadOS, developed by Hiep Le. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.
Locify does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not track you.
Data We Collect
We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide app functionality.

Not collected: email address, your personal contact address, your personal name, phone number, user IDs, contacts, messages, health data, financial data, browsing history, search history, crash data, performance metrics, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or any data used for cross-app tracking.
How We Use It
All collected data is used exclusively to deliver app features:
- - Saved Place Details - Store the place names, addresses, notes, favorite status, collection assignment, and related details you choose to save. Stored locally on your device only.
- - Precise Location - Display your position on the map, calculate route information, and store coordinates of places you save. Stored locally on your device only.
- - Photos - Store and display images you choose to attach to saved locations. Saved to your device's local storage only - never uploaded to any server.
Storage & Third Parties
In this release, all saved app data is stored locally on your device only using SwiftData and the app's local file system. Locify does not upload your saved places, notes, coordinates, or photos to our own servers.
We use Apple MapKit for map display, location search, geocoding, and route information. Those Apple service requests are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. No other third-party SDKs (analytics, advertising, crash reporting) are included in the app.
Retention & Deletion
You are in full control of your data. Collections and locations are stored locally on your device and can be updated or deleted from within the app. Photos can be removed from a saved place, and uninstalling the app permanently removes Locify's locally stored app data.
Because this release does not store your data on external Locify servers, there is nothing to retain or delete on our end.
Permissions

Revoke any permission at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security on your device.
No Tracking
Locify does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework and does not request
permission to track you across other apps or websites. Our NSPrivacyTracking
value is false, and our tracking domains list is empty.
No advertising network, analytics SDK, or behavioral profiling tool is embedded in the app.
Your Rights
Because this release stores app data locally on your device, you can access, correct, and delete saved places, collections, notes, and photos directly in Locify.
- - Correction & Deletion - Update or delete your data directly inside the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all data permanently.
- - Withdraw Consent - Revoke location or photo permissions at any time in your device settings.

Children
Locify is intended for a general audience. This release stores data locally on the device and does not store children's data on Locify servers. If you have a privacy concern involving a child under 13, contact us and we will help with deletion guidance.
Security
All your data is stored locally on your device within the app's sandboxed container. It is protected by iOS's built-in data protection (encrypted at rest when the device is locked). Locify does not transmit your saved places or photos to our own servers. Map display, search, geocoding, route information, the in-app privacy page, and feedback email actions may use Apple or system services.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we revise the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may notify you through the app or by updating this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
